Interesting open-concept Italian kitchen. I had the privilege to be seated at the chef counter and was able to observe the preparation. The antipasti and entrees are prepared consistently, simply, and with attention to detail. It was a pleasure to watch it unfold. The pasta was cooked perfectly, Statler chicken was fork-tender, risotto was creamy and made with careful attention to heat, and Bolognese was well-balanced, and not too oily. I highly recommend! It was a pleasure.
I enjoyed my evening here very much. The lobster arincini, focaccia and crostini was delicious. The pollo alla Milanese hit the spot. Service was excellent and the blood orange manhattan was soothing.
A wonderful experience! We started off with the Burrata and Focaccia both were fantastic. The duck was the best I have ever had.
Excellent traditional north-Italian food with an engaging, friendly staff and a largely monotone decor. Our food was outstanding, which can be a concern with a traditional restaurant and an American audience; they seem to have cracked that code. The focaccia bread is made in-house and is particularly good, as was the tiramisu, which they claim is the "best in the city," and they might be right. The portions are "small" but rich and filling. They described themselves as "modern Italian," so I assume that the vibe they were going for with the largely gray-colored restaurant, but for me, it has more of a traditional feel made monotone. I wouldn't say it was terrible; it just was so damn gray. The seating was comfortable, the tables were nice and clean, and many booths were available. Because the restaurant is split into a bar area and a dining room, I recommend a reservation if you want to eat in the dining room. It is part of a hotel, so bathrooms are located outside the restaurant. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience centered around the great staff and better food.
Located in the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, we had breakfast at Panzano this morning and had a wonderful time. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing, and the service was outstanding. I'd love to try it out here for dinner one day. The place has won a number of awards.
My mom and I came to Denver back in October 2024. We found Panzano, looked at pictures and reviews, and immediately knew we were going to this place. However, we decided to postpone our visit due to timing knowing we’d be back thia summer. We got a reservation for Tuesday night and were ecstatic for our visit. We came with my grandparents to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The hostess seated us promptly. We were immediately greeted by one of our servers and given ice cold water and suggestions for appetizers. We ordered the burrata and caesar salad appetizers, which were both to die for. We ordered the arabiatta, the bolognese, the Risotto alle carote, and the pollo alla malinese, all of which were world class dishes. The flavors were well balanced and the portions sizes were appropriate and left enough for a full leftover meal. Needless to say, the deserts were out of this world. Our server Brian was very attentive but not intrusive at all. Watching the chefs was amazing and it shows how hard they really work. 10/10 restaurant, will certainly be returning.
I went to Panzano by myself as a treat while at a conference in Denver. As a grad student, I was already stretching my budget. The food was rich and delicious (highly recommend the tiramisu). I sat at the counter and interacted with the chefs (who provided some tasters) and my waiter was beyond kind (walked through menu and treated me on dessert). The perfect treat and filling meal. Favorite part of downtown Denver so far!
Panzano's 70 4-course tasting presented a considered exploration of Italian flavors. It was a well-priced opportunity to sample a range of offerings and it presented good value for the quality. A 30 wine pairing option was available to enhance the meal. We arrived and were seated in the main dining room at a booth. Our server, Brian, was a notable asset to the experience. His recommendations for cocktails & desserts were accurate and well-received, demonstrating a good understanding of the menu and a helpful, efficient service style. The Chef's 4-course tasting menu came with an Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, & Dolci dishes. The meal began with a Panzanella salad (Antipasti course), a balanced mix of textures and flavors, featuring kale, squash, and a pleasant tang from the sherry vinaigrette. The pasta course (Primi course), with options like wild boar Bolognese and sausage orecchiette, provided hearty & satisfying dishes. The Secondi course, Seared Pork Tenderloin main was cooked precisely. The dessert selection (Dolci course), particularly the Butterscotch Pudding, was a highlight! A well-paced, thoughtfully prepared Italian meal in Denver, Panzano delivered. The classic dishes were executed with care, and the attentive service by Brian, allowed the food to take center stage.
